Have you ever experienced being in a "funk?" Those days when you feel unmotivated, uninspired, uninterested... I definitely have had those days. And sometimes it feels like you are going to feel like that FOREVER.
Here is good news. Feelings are temporary. Feelings are not fact. Feelings come and go.
So truthfully, if you feel funky or out of it, remind yourself that it won't last forever. You will have relief. You will feel better. I can not promise when or how soon the good feelings will return, but they will.
So how do we move past the funk? Do something you enjoy even if you don't feel like it. Get outside and see nature. Take some breaths. Talk kindly to yourself. This feeling will not last forever.
Truthfully it is easier said than done, but I believe in you. I believe that you can and will feel better. So get off the couch, turn off the TV, and go outside. Look around at the flowers or the sunshine. If it is raining, feel the water drop onto your skin. Take a breath and remember that you are alive and you have a choice today. A choice to be happy or to be stuck.
Feelings are not forever.
